Truth

I wish with my whole being that my story, my version of life did not mean that this is true. But, it is and most days these are things that make me feel the most vulnerable as well.

This is Us

Yes I used the names of the characters from the show for my husband and my 3 children adopted from foster care. It works, it fit and in many ways my kids have lots of similarities to the characters from the show in terms of their personalities and choices.

This is my story about our lives. All the names are changed but the stories are true. We have many professionals involved in our lives, therapists, social workers, police officers and so on. Please do not be concerned that my children are not safe because they most definitely are and we are all doing our level best to move forward with our lives.

I write here because it is cathartic for me and because I feel like other people can benefit from the things I have learned on this journey. Feel free to engage in conversation with me through the comment section on the posts.

Feb 2018 - I have started importing archived posts from another blog of mine from when the kids were small. You can access them from here but it is a work in progress. I have not imported everything only the posts that I felt had value and added to my narrative or could be helpful to someone else.
